Tenaliraman, original name - Garlapati Ramakrishnacharyuyu, was a humorous poet and jester in the court of King Krishna Devarayalu, who ruled Vijaynagar Empire in South India in the 16th Century. Known for his brilliance and wisdom, he was also known as Vikat Kavi. He believed in teaching the important lessons through humor and sometimes even rendered the King speechless with his witty remarks.
