Dictionary of Criminology is a modest attempt to acquaint the reader with the terminology covering the complex field of Crime, Penology, Criminal Law, Forensic Sciences and also the disciplines of Social and Clinical Psychology. To make the work more comprehensive, Underworld terms that are not commonly in use, have also been included. In the present social setup, the entire system of Criminology has emerged not merely as a law and order issue, but also as a complete intellectual discipline. The basic objective of this work is to enlighten the people about this developing science, and to provide a source work both for the professionals and the interested persons.
